We had a lot of fun and met a lot of people at our Midvale Debut. We met a lot of new people and learned alot.

We did a pre thanksgiving food drive and raised a lot of food for the needy.

We even had a visitor from out of state. Jeff Juraska flew in from Stamford Connecticut just to play CA$HFLOW. He arrived on Tuesday afternoon the day of the game and left Wednesday morning. Jeff is definitely driven to make some changes in his financial future. Jeff got a seat in the front here he is playing the game on my left.

As you can see we had a packed house. Official head count was 47 people.

We had a good time and plan on playing again on Dec. 9th.

A story about my mentor Chad Wade.

Cindy is a highschool teacher. The school that she teaches has students that some would describe as troubled youth. Where there are a lot of single parent families. Where some of the students have 1 or 2 children of there own. Where many of the students work part-time jobs after school and on weekends because their single mom can't afford to pay rent or groceries. Some of these students are disruptive in class and have poor grades. Most will not go to college.

My Mentor Chad Wade wrote a book about direct sales and business. It's called "Cracking the Producer's Code"

Cindy found the book and and was so inspired by it that she decided to use Chad's book instead of the one that was designated.

The students started to read the book and for the first time ever Cindy's students were quiet and working. They too were inspired by the book. Cindy got a hold of Chad and asked him if there was any possible way for him to come and visit the class. He said yes and here is the video.
He's the one with pink tie on the first day and a red tie on the second day.

What if John didn't go?

I was talking to one of my business associates Christion yesterday and he was confirming a story that I had heard about a handy man named John Bowers.

John had a neighbor that was going through some difficult times needed to get rid of his house. John thought to himself "I can hardly even help myself, how can I help you?"

Why did John think that? Well let's take a closer look. John is a family man, he has five kids. One of his children is disabled. He was an overworked, underpaid handy man. He had a tremendous amount of credit card debt. He was on the verge of bankrupcy and at the end of his rope. On June 15th of this year he decided that he was going to stop the pain and declare bankrupcy.

John didn't declare bankrupcy though, instead he decided that he was going to make a change in his life.
John helped his neighbor and bought his house. John bought more houses and in the process he put $92 000 in his bank account. This all happened since June 15th of this year? How did John do it? How did someone who is the verge of bankrupcy even buy 1 home let alone more?

How did Dave do it?

I was just on the phone with my friend Dave Carson and he told me a story that started out sad but ended up being great. Dave found out that a friend of a friend, Kathy was going to lose her house.

Kathy was an experienced real estate investor but through some very unfortunate circumstances she got into some trouble. The house that she was losing was a rehab or a fix n' flipper and it was unliveable. Kathy owed $310k in mortgages and another $80k in liens and judgements it needed between $80k -$100k in fix up costs. Two appraisals on the house determined the house to be worth $120 000. Kathy lacked the cashflow to keep this property a float. Dave caught wind of the situation and helped Kathy out of this situation.

In the end Kathy did not get foreclosed on.
In the end, Kathy got out from underneath this house.
In the end, Kathy was able to walk away and sleep better with out this house bleeding her dry. Dave Carson is not an experienced investor. This was the first time that Dave had done a transaction like this.
In exchange for helping Kathy, Dave made over $25 000. He did it without using any of his money or any of his credit.

How did Dave do it?

Here’s what I learned…my advice to myself after playing the game is:

1. Give up your illusion that money is real.
2. Never evaluate whether or not to complete deal based on whether or not you have the money or can afford it. Evaluate based on whether or not it is a good deal and then borrow or partner based on that fact.
3. You can’t get out of the rat race if you don’t take action [buy assets].
4. The real game is played on your income statement / balance sheet, not on the game board.

Cashflow 101 is an educational tool in board game format designed by Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad), which aims to teach the players concepts of investing by having their money work for them in a risk free setting (play money) while simultaneously increasing their financial literacy and stressing the imperative nature of accountability.
There are two stages to the game. In the first, "the rat race", the player aims to raise his or her character's passive income level to where it exceeds the character's expenses. The winner is determined in the second stage, "the fast track". To win, a player must get his or her character to buy their "dream" or accumulate an additional $50,000 in monthly cash flow.
In place of “score cards”, there are financial statements. The game requires the players to fill out their own financial statements so that they can see more clearly what is happening with their money. It generally shows how assets generate income and demonstrates that liabilities and 'doodads' are expenses.
Robert Kiyosaki also designed two other Cashflow games: a children's version called Cashflow for Kids, and a follow-up game to Cashflow 101 for more advanced players, which he released as Cashflow 202.

CA$HFLOW is like church

I actually stopped putting on CA$HFLOW games for a while because no one was taking action. I thought of it like church. While people are at church they show that they are very spiritual people in the way they act and the things they say. When they leave church and go to work the next morning some people act very differently. They might swear or curse or steal... you know the people that I'm talking about. Well CA$HFLOW seemed to be the same way. There were some people who came to every event week after week and month after month and while they were there they talked the talk but they still didn't play the game in real life. That's the name of my cashflow club! "Bring the Game to Life." Well after a summer off, I started to play CA$HFLOW again with the public. Why? Because people asked. Colleagues, regular players, business associates... they asked. And I missed it. Are the "pretenders" still there and do they show up? Well yes but I'm ok with that.
I've actually been playing CA$HFLOW regularly again since the fall of 07 and since it looks like it's going to continue, I've decided to keep track of it again on my blog.

CA$HFLOW is back in Sugarhouse next week.

CA$HFLOW was great in Orem yesterday. We had six full tables of new and experienced CA$HFLOW players. Most people that weren't already applying the concepts to real life want to learn how do to do so. Our network of investors will be happy to help them break out of their personal rat race and BRING THE GAME TO LIFE.

We had a blast in Bountiful last night playing CA$HFLOW 101, it was close to full. I am already getting emails praising last nights game and how fun it was and getting requests for next game in Bountiful! I will post the information as soon as I can.
We had a lot of new players come to play the game and they gained some real insight about how to become financially free.

CA$HFLOW for the Elders Quorum!

My friend Kirk is trying to organize a Cashflow game for his ward. He presented the idea to the Elder leaders and they want to try the game before we have a big event. We will be playing with the leaders on Tuesday November 21st. Unfortunately this event will not be open to the public. The leaders are a group of business men and entrepreneurs so they should really like the game! I hope that Weber County is ready because "Bring the Game to Life" is coming!!!

Besides the two Cashflow games that we will be having next week we just added a game in Farmington.

It will be our first game north of Bountiful and we are very excited to accomodate the multiple requests that are coming from that area.

One of my business associates, Paul has secured a location in Farmington and it will be the second Tuesday of next month. He will fill us in with more details as the date gets closer.

My name is Kenny and I am huge Rich Dad Poor Dad fan. I have read many of the books and I subscribe to many Rich Dad concepts. I play CA$HFLOW 101 on a regular basis and I have a CA$HFLOW CLUB on www.richdad.com.

It's called "Bring the Game to Life!"

I will be commenting on the popularity of this club. We play mostly in Utah. When we play in Bountiful and Orem our game gets as big as 5 - 6 tables. I once went to game that had more than 300 people. I hope that our game can get that popular!
